Let's Identify Your ATM & EPP's Make and Model

We understand verifying your keypad (EPP) can be complex, but we’re here to help. Each manufacturer has provided upgrade instructions, and we’ve included them to guide you on whether your ATM requires an EPP upgrade or replacement. For further assistance, contact us at 248-932-5400.

Step #1 - Identifying Your Machine's Make and Model:

To identify the make and model of your retail ATM, begin by opening the top hatch of the machine. Typically, on the left-hand side, you will find a label or sticker that contains important information. This label will display the Manufacturer’s name (such as Hyosung, Hantle, Genmega, or Triton), as well as the specific Model of the ATM (examples include 2700SE, G2500, 1700W, or Argo 15). Ensuring you have the correct make and model details is important for maintenance, upgrades, and compliance purposes.

Step #2 - Identifying your EPP (Keypad):

Locate the label beneath your keypad (Electronic Pin Pad or EPP). This sticker will provide essential information, including the Type (e.g., EPP-6000K, EPP-8000R, B1, B2), as well as a Part Number and Serial Number. Be sure to record this information for future reference, as it will help determine whether your keypad requires an upgrade to meet current compliance standards

Step #3 - Refer to the Tables Below to Determine if Upgrade is Necessary

Using the tables below, identify whether your specific ATM and EPP model require a keypad upgrade or a full ATM replacement.

If an EPP upgrade is needed, contact our service team at 248-932-5400 with your Terminal ID, ATM, and EPP Make & Model, to order parts and schedule installation. Pricing will be provided at the time of dispatch.

In some cases, a full replacement may be necessary due to hardware or software limitations. We will assist with a smooth transition if needed.

For new ATMs, please ask for Jason. We offer various Hyosung and Genmega models and will guide you from selection through installation.

Hyosung Compatibility Breakdown

HYOSUNG PHYSICAL KEYPAD IDENTIFICATION

5000K or 6000K/R – buttons are not flat with body and no external pressure switches.

8000R – buttons are flatter with body and external pressure switches.

EPP-X1 – Additional paneling that prevents easy access to back of keypad, external pressure switches.

HYOSUNG COMPATIBILITY BREAKDOWN

Hyosung models must be able to support the latest software, and have an EPP 8000R (firmware v10.0x.xx) or EPP X1(v15.0x.xx) revision are compatible with the latest PCI standards.

The ATMs listed in the table above must be replaced. Please call ATM of America or your agent to place an order for a new terminal. These ATMs will stop processing transactions on January 1, 2025, and cannot be upgraded.

Please call or email ATM of America to order the correct keypad and arrange for a service provider to install the replacement EPP if necessary. If your ATM needs to be replaced, we will work with you to order a replacement unit and help arrange to have the ATM installed.

TRITON PHYSICAL KEYPAD IDENTIFICATION

T10 – Must show “EPP T10 PCI” or “SW: 414-0737”, or else it will need replaced.

Triton models must be able to support the latest software Versions for X-Scale, X2 and X3 mainboards, along with a T10 keypad.
